Biography - - Agatha Duvaly could have been an ordinary student. But the Duvalys were no ordinary family, and the family's fate, like that of many of her ancestors, eventually took its toll.
Agatha had never known why her grandfather had left France. The truth came out when a group of strange Egyptian terrorists wearing a cobra symbol, the Order of the Night Incarnate, attacked the family villa in Missouri, near St. Louis. Their goal was to recover a skull that the elder Duvaly had found with the Nazis on an archaeological mission in the Algerian desert.
What happened when they found him is still hazy in Agatha's mind. A black fire, a golden vortex. A chilling laugh. An otherworldly entity had manifested to protect her. Because of the golden smile on his head of black fire, she named him Gilded Grim. Since then, she has used the spirit to hunt down this mystical order of the Night Incarnate and, in the meantime, cleanse the city of scum and petty criminals.

Powers and abilities - - In addition to superhuman strength and agility, Gilded Grim can manipulate shadows and generate intense black fire. His cloak, somehow, seems alive. Agatha believes his current form is a concoction born of her imagination, which in times of danger envisioned a superhuman with the powers of famous comic book and manga characters. She wonders if Gilded Grim could change appearance if she wanted, but so far all attempts have been in vain.

Lovers and Friends -- Whatever Gilded Grim is, he's certainly not human, and applying concepts like love and friendship to such an entity is fundamentally wrong. He has blind obedience to Agatha, who can order him to do anything, as long as it doesn't put her in danger. Gilded Grim doesn't speak; he simply laughs when he enters combat or appears somewhere. Agatha doesn't have many friends, but the ones she does have are very good. She knows Mirage, with whom she had a relationship, and Breeze (though she doesn't know he's a superhuman). The Lesser Ennead is very interested in her, and finding out that Gate Keeper is only following her for information could hurt her.

Green Leafs Academy

Golden Oak is an elegant building, in a vague Meiji style, built in the hills surrounding Kamakura, Tokyo. The academy's headquarters houses several facilities, a Buddhist temple, with a Tenjin and Inari shrine inside, a large sports hall, a vast library, and other smaller structures, in addition to the building housing the classrooms and dormitories. This building houses the nearly 300 students who attend the institute. There are 10 sections, each composed of three or six sections (three for middle school, three for high school). The building is always crowded, with both students and teachers, and sometimes even repair robots or specialized cyborgs. The most important part of the building is the school cafeteria, where almost all the students gather at lunchtime, but at other times it is a rather quiet place. Asato Matt

  Technically, Matt isn't a member of the Imperial Military Academy. However, as a close friend of Daigo, he's often found in the military school buildings. A highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant, an accident has given him state-of-the-art mechanical arms. His father is Japanese, but his mother is of American descent, either Hawaiian or Native American. Matt is totally loyal to the Emperor and, it is said, hopelessly in love with Nana. For her, he would do anything crazy. Spolier Allert: The truth is that Matt is a secret experiment by the Shogunate to create a new type of cyborg. His fists are very powerful, and he can fire a high-energy laser beam when needed. However, Matt prefers to fight with his fists whenever possible.

Imperial Military School

  When the Japanese military took power in 2025, installing a puppet emperor, they also decided to take control of the education of those children born with superhuman powers. Although the plan partially failed, private centers such as the Green Leaf Academy still exist. The Imperial Military Academy in Ise is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious and advanced institutions in the nation. While the academy officially trains young officers for the reborn Imperial Armed Forces, its true purpose is to monitor and train young superhumans to serve the Empire (or rather, the Shogunate). Emperor Daigo himself also studies in this academy.
