Golden Dragon



REAL NAME: Gino Li

GROUP AFFILIATION: La guardia

BIOGRAPHY: Gino is a Chinese boy from the Prato community, the second bigger Chinese community in Italy. He recently turned 17 and was born into a second-generation Chinese family.
Unfortunately for Gino, his father, Simo Li, had taken over his maternal grandfather's business and taken over the family game room, which instead concealed a gambling den of the powerful Prato triad.
When the situation Simo had got himself into became too complicated, he sent his son to China, where he was to study martial arts with his paternal grandfather.
But Gino was totally denied any physical activity, and to his great regret, his old grandfather sent him back to Italy. But before embarking on the journey, his grandfather's old gymnasium fell victim to a fire. Without a second thought, Gino threw himself into the fire to save the youngest boys who were trapped there.
Impressed by his grandson's gesture, his grandfather gave him an antique belt with a dragon-shaped buckle. It was the ancient golden dragon, a powerful talisman said to have been passed down from the founder of Shaolin kungfu.
Thanks to this talisman, once home, he was able to defeat the triad and save his father's life. Simo, however, did not change his lifestyle, forcing his son to intervene often in his defense.  
Gino is a quiet boy, who somewhat stereotypically likes playing video games and collecting manga, anime and weebtoons. Rather quiet, he is nonetheless sociable and friendly.

POWERS: The dragon belt is a powerful artefact, dating back to the time of Lemuria. Those who possess it receive the skill of the greatest martial arts masters who wore it, but only if they are worthy. Otherwise, the belt, which is worn like a sash, crushes the wearer's torso.
Wearing the golden dragon not only confers martial skill, but also incredible dexterity and physical endurance, but requires a certain ability to concentrate that is not for everyone. So much so that Gino often has to meditate to regain the composure needed to use the powerful magic object. As the Chinese dragon controls water and rain, albeit in a rather limited way, the cointure allows the user to control the weather around him.  
In addition to the skills given by the belt, the boy has become a martial arts expert by his own right and is an expert calligrapher.
Although the experiments conducted at the 'Borgia Foundation' were not conducive to anything. Gino has the feeling that the belt is alive, if not sentient.

FRIENDS AND LOVES: His best friend is probably Davide (Immortal Boy), but he also has a very open and friendly relationship with Michela.
Mattia (Asso) is a good student, but for Gino's taste too prone to fighting, even when it would not be necessary.
Gino is engaged to Patience, a girl of Nigerian origin, although this caused some resentment in the family, because they expected him to choose a Chinese girl.

Green Leafs Academy

Golden Oak is an elegant building, in a vague Meiji style, built in the hills surrounding Kamakura, Tokyo. The academy's headquarters houses several facilities, a Buddhist temple, with a Tenjin and Inari shrine inside, a large sports hall, a vast library, and other smaller structures, in addition to the building housing the classrooms and dormitories. This building houses the nearly 300 students who attend the institute. There are 10 sections, each composed of three or six sections (three for middle school, three for high school). The building is always crowded, with both students and teachers, and sometimes even repair robots or specialized cyborgs. The most important part of the building is the school cafeteria, where almost all the students gather at lunchtime, but at other times it is a rather quiet place. Asato Matt

  Technically, Matt isn't a member of the Imperial Military Academy. However, as a close friend of Daigo, he's often found in the military school buildings. A highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant, an accident has given him state-of-the-art mechanical arms. His father is Japanese, but his mother is of American descent, either Hawaiian or Native American. Matt is totally loyal to the Emperor and, it is said, hopelessly in love with Nana. For her, he would do anything crazy. Spolier Allert: The truth is that Matt is a secret experiment by the Shogunate to create a new type of cyborg. His fists are very powerful, and he can fire a high-energy laser beam when needed. However, Matt prefers to fight with his fists whenever possible.

Imperial Military School

  When the Japanese military took power in 2025, installing a puppet emperor, they also decided to take control of the education of those children born with superhuman powers. Although the plan partially failed, private centers such as the Green Leaf Academy still exist. The Imperial Military Academy in Ise is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious and advanced institutions in the nation. While the academy officially trains young officers for the reborn Imperial Armed Forces, its true purpose is to monitor and train young superhumans to serve the Empire (or rather, the Shogunate). Emperor Daigo himself also studies in this academy.
